About Us.

We are a team of voluntary counsellors who are all qualified to Diploma level.

We all undergo professional supervision and are fully insured. We are organisational members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work to their ethical framework.

We work by appointment only, Monday to Thursday.

Our administrator takes phone calls and monitors e-mails Monday to Friday and will respond as soon as possible if your call is missed. Please leave a message if you phone and cannot reach us immediately. The administrator will take some brief details and then contact one of the counsellors who will arrange an initial meeting with you.

At this meeting any questions can be discussed and then if you decide to go ahead, you can make arrangements to start counselling. Sessions can be flexible but are usually an hour long, meeting weekly and 6 sessions are offered with a review after this to see if more are needed.

We are based at Ambleside Parish Centre and have a dedicated private room downstairs called the Cedar Room. There is full disabled access by lift to this room.

People can self refer to us by phone or e-mail or they can be recommended to come by their doctor or any other professional.
