Welcome to Cedar Counselling Cumbria

We are sorry to inform you that we are no longer taking new clients from January 2024. Several of our counsellors are retiring from practise this year and we intend to close the charity once we have finished seeing any existing clients. If you want to find a counsellor in private practise, we suggest you look at the websites of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC)

Life can throw all sort of things at us.

It could be a sudden crisis or it might be something that has been around for years, which affects our daily lives and just won't go away. Having support from family and friends is great, but sometimes that's not available, or perhaps not very helpful.

Make a donation.

We all work on a voluntary basis but have some expenses to cover such as rent and insurance. We ask our clients for donations to help towards these costs (suggested minimum donation of £10 per session). However we do not want finance to prevent anyone from getting the help they need, so this can be discussed at the first meeting with your counsellor.
